Truck driving licences in Delmenhorst and the Bremen region: C, CE, C1 and C1E
Want to drive trucks professionally or extend your licence? Janssen-Drive plans truck licence training in Delmenhorst for the Bremen, Stuhr, Ganderkesee, Hude and Oldenburg area. We explain the category you need and whether professional driver qualification is also required. Contact our main branch at Sulinger Straße 101.
C1 and C1E: trucks up to 7.5 tonnes and vehicle combinations
C1 generally covers eligible motor vehicles over 3,500 kg and up to 7,500 kg maximum authorised mass, with no more than eight passengers besides the driver, plus a trailer up to 750 kg. C1E extends trailer options for certain combinations up to 12,000 kg. The regular minimum age is 18. We use your vehicle details to discuss the right category.
C and CE: heavy trucks and trailers
Category C covers eligible trucks over 3,500 kg without the C1 upper mass limit, with a trailer up to 750 kg. Heavier trailers and relevant articulated vehicles require CE. We discuss existing entitlement, medical fitness and minimum age. C and CE normally require age 21, with earlier access in certain qualification and vocational training cases.
Driving licence and professional qualification are different
A truck licence alone is not sufficient for many commercial journeys. Depending on the work and acquired rights, you may also need initial qualification and periodic professional training. Accelerated initial qualification combines teaching with an IHK test. The driver qualification card (FQN) documents professional qualification, a topic often searched for as “code 95”. We consider both licence and qualification when planning your training.
Plan your training and documents
We plan theory and practical lessons around your starting point and available appointments. The application requires identification, a photo, your existing licence and the required medical and eyesight evidence, among other documents. Confirm your exact requirements with the driving licence authority. C and CE licences have limited validity, so keep renewal deadlines in mind. Renewing the driving licence does not replace periodic professional driver training.
Training vouchers: funding subject to personal approval
Our Sulinger Straße location is AZAV-certified for vocational continuing education. A training voucher may cover up to 100 per cent of approved eligible course costs, subject to the relevant requirements. Both provider and course must be approved and funding authorised before the start. We advise on next steps; registering alone does not guarantee funding.
Truck driving licence FAQs
Which truck licence category do I need?
It depends on the maximum authorised masses of the towing vehicle and trailer. Tell us your vehicle details and intended use so we can discuss C1, C1E, C or CE.
Is funding guaranteed?
No. The responsible authority decides individual funding. The provider and specific course must be approved, with funding authorised before training begins.
